Common Data Set

The Common Data Set (CDS) is a compilation of commonly requested figures and statistics developed as a collaborative effort between data providers in higher education and publishers such as U.S. News & World Report. The CDS includes data on enrollment, admissions, persistence, graduation rates, student expenses, financial aid awarded, and more. The most recent CDS is linked below; historic CDS documents in pdf format are available here.

CUPA-HR Faculty Salary Reports

The ECU College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) Faculty Salary Survey Reports compile aggregated CUPA-HR data and compare ECU faculty salaries to those at other Doctoral Universities (2015 Carnegie Classification). Because salary data are collected and reported separately for tenured/tenure track faculty and non-tenure track faculty, a separate report (PDF) is provided for each.

Delaware Study of Instructional Costs and Productivity

The Delaware study (PDF) is a national study of instructional costs and productivity generally acknowledged as the “tool of choice” for comparative analysis of faculty teaching loads, direct instructional cost, and separately budgeted scholarly activity, by academic discipline. A guide to understanding the Delaware study is available here.

IPEDS Data Feedback Report

IPEDS Data Feedback Reports are intended to provide institutions a context for examining the data they submit to IPEDS. The context consists of a custom comparison group selected by each institution. Graphs are provided in each report with data on Admissions, Student Enrollment, Degrees Awarded, Charges and Net Price, Student Financial Aid, Retention and Graduation Rates, Finance, Staff, and Libraries. The most recent IPEDS Data Feedback Report is linked below; historic reports in pdf format are available here.
